Big crowd anticipated for Olympic showdown
Manly United goalkeeper Dylan Mitchell has declared the Good Friday showdown against Sydney Olympic FC will be a “blockbuster.”
Warren Grieve’s men are currently ladder leaders after five rounds, but face a huge test at Cromer Park.
“Olympic are also unbeaten, it should be a blockbuster,” Mitchell said.
“They have introduced a few new faces this year and are looking good.
“Max Burgess is a quality player in the middle of the park and Will Angel is always a danger – he can create something out of nothing.
“Our boys are fired up, everyone is buzzing.”
Manly defender Leigh Egger will no doubt be keen to impress after leaving the former NSL heavyweights in the off-season.
With the game falling on a public holiday, a huge crowd is anticipated.
The “Cromer Kop” on the clubhouse side will provide a colourful atmosphere for the away side, with a DJ booked to further create an extra buzz.
Kick-off is 5pm, with entry free for all registered players in the MWFA.
