Manly United ready for Football NSW Institute ambush
MANLY United are ready to put everything on the line when they face Football NSW Institute in an elimination semi-final this Sunday afternoon at Valentine Sports Park.
After finishing fourth in the home and away season, there are no second chances in 2018.
“It is a little scary to think we could be finished this weekend, but motivating at the same time,” utility Chloe O’Brien said.
“Football NSW (Institute) are young and inexperienced, but can certainly play.
“They switch off at times, especially after scoring goals, so if they do, we need to make the most of chances which fall our way.
“We have a title to defend, the girls are pumped.”
O’Brien nominated Sunny Franco and Claudia Cholakian as the potential difference in the final third.
“They are great players, we need them in the game as often as possible,” she said.
Both games this year versus Football NSW Institute have been high scoring affairs.
United won 4-3 at home before a recent 3-3 draw on the road.
Kick-off is 3.45pm.
