Manly United v Sydney FC NPL Preview
MANLY United midfielder Brendan Cholakian insists his team haven’t hit the panic button ahead of Sunday’s tussle with Sydney FC at Cromer Park.
Paul Dee’s men were collectively disappointed with their performance against Wollongong in their season opener last weekend, but on home soil ‘Choc’ is anticipating a different outcome.
“We have to be better, simple as that,” Cholakian said.
“Sydney FC are always fit and energetic, we are in for another tough game.
“Our focus is going back to basics, and working on getting the simple things right.”
The Baby Sky Blues are coached by Jimmy Van Weeren, who is far from a stranger to the majority of the United playing group.
“We know Jimmy well from his time here at the club, he will set up his team to try and nullify our strengths,” Cholakian added.
“It should be an interesting 90 minutes.”
Charles Mendy is in line to make his debut for Manly after overcoming a muscle strain.
Kick-off is at the later time of 3.30pm.
