Manly United GSAP visit to Sydney FC
The Manly United Girls SAP teams were very fortunate to be invited to attend the Sydney FC training facilities at Macquarie University last weekend on their BYE round.
Following on from the GSAP group visit to watch Sydney FC play Perth Glory, the girls had Sydney FC and Matildas star Lisa de Vanna chat to them You can imagine how captivated the girls were. Thank you Lisa!
CEO Danny Townsend took the girls and parents on a tour of the facility including the dressing rooms, the famed BOOT ROOM, the Mens’ AND Ladies’ separate changerooms, the football specific gymnasium and players’ lounge which houses the chef’s kitchen.
The girls all received a Sydney FC show bag which will no doubt take pride of place in their bedrooms.
A WORLD CUP tournament ensued that was (by all accounts) very exciting and professionally conducted by our brilliant GSAP Game Day coaches and Game Leaders.
The day culminated in a delicious bbq very generously donated by Sydney FC. Thanks to our very experienced chefs for sharing their culinary skills – their skills were no doubt obtained from the Cromer park BBQ hut.
THANK YOU SYDNEY FC FOR HOSTING OUR GSAP PROGRAM – IT WAS A BLAST!
Special thanks must go to Danny Townsend for his generosity and time which is greatly appreciated.
The Sydney FC men’s team are in Korea for their next Asian Champions League game this Tuesday night against Ulsan Hyundai.
Go the Sky Blues!
