Manly United v Football NSW Institute Women’s Preview
A RESURGENT Manly United will fancy their chances in Sunday’s clash with Football NSW Institute.
Both teams are desperate to play semi-final football in 2019, meaning three points is imperative for both squads.
“I think it will be another tough game, but we can definitely beat them,” United captain Chloe O’Brien said.
“Last weekend we deserved to beat North Shore Mariners – we left it late, but I thought we dominated for most of the game.
“Football NSW are very technical but can be lacking physically sometimes – if we win that battle early, we will be a big chance.”
O’Brien was also impressed with super sub Jess Wootton versus the Mariners, who scored the winner on home soil last Sunday.
“She has been great for us, stepping up from club football, I’m stoked for Jess,” she said.
“She knows where the back of the net is, and she could be the difference again.”
Kick-off at Valentine Sports Park is 3pm.
