U6-U8 Foundation Squad
The Foundation Squad U6-U8 program is designed to improve players’ foundation phase skills and develop their love for football. It offers a pathway to the Manly United/MWFA JDL (Junior Development League) program.

U9-U12 Mixed Development Squad
Manly United FC’s Development Squad Program delivers Football Australia’s Skill Acquisition Phase Training (based on the National Curriculum), which is designed to equip players with the functional game (technical) skills required for this age and phase of development (U9-U12).
Our Dev Squad program underpins the MUFC Mixed JDL (Junior Development League) squads. Players who are unsuccessful in earning a Mixed JDL position during trials are offered a Dev Squad place.

U9-U13 Girls Development Squad
Manly United FC’s GDEV Program delivers Football Australia’s Skill Acquisition Phase Training (based on the National Curriculum), which is designed to equip players with the functional game (technical) skills required for this age and phase of development (U9-U13). Our GDEV program underpins the MUFC GJDL (Girls Junior Development League) squads. Players who are unsuccessful in earning a GJDL spot during trials are offered a position in the GDEV program. GDEV squads train alongside GJDL squads, with the same plan and parameters.

Goalkeeper Development Squad
Goalkeeper is a specialised position that requires specialised training. Manly United’s Goalkeeper Development Squad is designed to provide top-tier training to participants aged 10 to 16 years old, helping to develop essential skills and laying a strong foundation for future success.
