Sunny Franco is in the mood to entertain this season.
The key Manly United recruit, who is only 19 but has already represented Brisbane Roar and Sydney FC in the W-League, wasn’t afraid to declare her on field ambition.
“I play in the top third, my job is to score goals,” Franco said.
“The O’Brien family were kind enough to take me in, and living in Bilgola is fantastic, I love it up there.
“I’ve been mates with Chloe (O’Brien) since we were 17 in camp together with the Young Matildas a few years ago.
“She told me the state league in Sydney was strong, so I figured why not give it a crack.”
Franco made her debut for United last Sunday in the 2-1 away defeat against Illawarra, and is buzzing ahead of Sunday’s home derby versus North Shore Mariners.
“The girls said at training it will be fiery, bring it on,” she said.
“I’m here to keep fit, have fun, but also win.
“The Manly squad is a very good one and the coach (Chris Williams) is very switched on.
“I think we will have a big year once everything clicks.”
Kick-off on Sunday at Cromer Park is 4.30pm.
