Girls Development Squads
What is the Girls Development Squad Program (GDEV)?
Manly United FC’s GDEV Program is for girls only and delivers the FFA’s Skill Acquisition Phase Training (based on the National Curriculum), which is designed to equip the players with the functional game (technical) skills required for this age and phase of development. Our GDEV program underpins the MUFC GSAP squads. Players who are unsuccessful in being selected in GSAP are offered a position in the GDEV program. GDEV squads train alongside GSAP and within the same parameters and plan as GSAP.
The GDEV program runs for 40 weeks from November to September. The players train two nights a week with Manly United FC. Additionally players train once a week and play games with their local grassroots club in the MWFA competition. Players are not registered with Manly United.
Eligibility Criteria for GDEV?
