Congratulations to former Manly United 1st Grader and 2017 Championship winner Leigh Egger on his appointment to the Socceroos coaching staff!
Socceroos Head Coach Tony Popovic has appointed Leigh to his staff after the Seaforth junior spent five years at Dutch giant Feyenoord, including three years as the club’s Head of High Performance.
Since hanging up his playing boots, Leigh has accumulated a wide variety of experience in sports science. In addition to his stint at Feyenoord, he has also worked with Sydney Swans, Rugby Australia, Fiji Rugby, and NBA side Charlotte Hornets.
Leigh is very much a part of the Manly United family, and is the son of Sharon, our Girls & Women’s Technical Director.
