The Foundation Squad U6-U8 program is designed to improve players’ foundation phase skills and develop their love for football. It offers a pathway to the Manly United/MWFA JDL (Junior Development League) program.
With approximately 50% of our U9 JDL players coming from our Foundation Squads, this program helps young talented footballers from within the MWFA to progress their game. Children must be registered with one of the sixteen Clubs in the Manly Warringah Football Association to be eligible to join.
The program runs from early February until September. Players train two nights a week with Manly United FC.
Note: Foundation Squad players continue to train and play games with their local grassroots club in the MWFA competition. It provides additional training to those players – they are not registered with Manly United.
