Greg Chipman & Adam Peacock Join MUFC Board

Manly United Football announces the appointment of two new Directors to the Manly United FC Board, Greg Chipman and Adam Peacock.

Both Greg and Adam have had a long association with Manly United FC and community football on the northern beaches.  They each bring a diverse set of complementary skills and experiences to the Board.

Greg has over 20 years’ senior executive and board experience in both corporate and not for profit entities.  He has worked extensively with industry, government and regulators across a broad range of businesses.

Adam is a highly respected journalist, writer and commentator with deep connections in the Australian and international sporting communities, with a particular expertise in, and emphasis on football.  Adam is a passionate advocate for the development and future of football in Australia.

“I distinctly remember falling in love with the world game when my Dad took me to watch Franz Beckenbauer and the New York Cosmos play the Socceroos in front of a crowd of 50,000 at the Sydney Showground in the late 70s. Football has always been ‘Shakespeare on steroids’ for me and it has given me some of my greatest moments in life. It’s also shown me how much playing and coaching talent we have in this part of the world, and the opportunity we have to keep shaping and driving the development of football in this country.”

  • Greg Chipman
“I’ve been involved in football on the Northern Beaches since starting with the Beacon Hill Under 6s way back when, bouncing around a few local clubs (Manly Allambie, Manly Vale, Pittwater), before son Noah became a much better player than me (starting at Narrabeen, then to Manly United, now at Western Sydney Wanderers). I’ve coached locally, and just want to see the game fully realise its potential and go forward with unity.”

Manly United Football Club also announces the retirement of Nick Tomaino and Ken Hutton from the Board. We would like to acknowledge and give a heartfelt thanks to both for their extraordinary service to Manly United and football on the northern beaches over many years. Both Nick and Ken have been instrumental in shaping the club we are so proud of today, and in positioning us well for the years ahead.
