Manly United Football Club is a proud football club representing Sydney’s Northern Beaches, competing in the highest tier of the National Premier Leagues and providing junior representative and community development programs.
For decades, Manly United has developed talented footballers and provided pathways to the highest levels of the game. Many past and current professional footballers around the world have come through our programs, including Socceroos and Matildas who wore the Manly United badge before progressing to the international stage.
We are particularly proud of our strong local roots and long history at the forefront of women’s and girls’ football development.
At our heart, we are an ambitious club with a clear development vision and philosophy which strives to give talented players the opportunity to go as far as they can in the world game.

About the opportunity
We are inviting Expressions of Interest from people who believe they can contribute to the Club’s next chapter.
Our directors bring complementary skills, experience, networks and perspectives. We are particularly interested in people who can strengthen one or more of the following areas:
- Strategic planning
- Commercial partnerships, sponsorship and fundraising
- Marketing, media and communications
- Stakeholder and public relations
- Supporter growth and engagement
- Women’s and girls’ football
These areas are not exhaustive. We also welcome outstanding candidates whose professional experience, football knowledge, leadership, networks or perspective could bring significant value to Manly United.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for people with sound judgement, integrity, energy and a genuine commitment to the success and future of Manly United.
Directors are expected to contribute actively, work constructively as part of the Board and always act in the best interests of the Club.
Previous Board or governance experience is highly regarded but not essential where candidates bring strong relevant capability and are willing to undertake appropriate governance training.
We are committed to maintaining a capable, diverse and well-balanced Board.
