Ray Fanning
Ray is the current chairman of the board and has been since 2017. His association with Manly Football goes back to the early 1990s covering various roles of representative convenor, coach, Vice President, and President of Manly Warringah Football Association (MWFA) and has been a director of Manly United since 1997.
Ray was awarded the George Churchward medal in 2014 for his services to football and for his vision in building the grandstand at Cromer Park.

Fiona Dunn
Fiona joined the Board in December 2023. She brings over 30 years of corporate experience in the financial services sector, having held several executive general management and senior leadership positions. Spanning business strategy, product, sales and marketing, risk and governance. Fiona has significant board expertise, having served on several boards and board committees over the past 12 years for both unlisted and ASX listed companies. She is currently the Chair of JANA Investment Advisers. Fiona has had a long involvement with Manly United FC (MUFC), as a parent and volunteer for the past 9 years and is currently on the board of the MWFA.
Directors
Greg Chipman
Greg joined the Board in December 2024. He brings over 30 years of experience in the professional and financial services industries and has held a number of senior leadership and advisory roles in local and international markets covering business strategy, transformation, risk and compliance, customer, marketing & distribution.
Greg has held both Executive and Non-Executive Board roles in Corporate and NFP organisations and has also had extensive dealings with Industry Bodies, Government and Regulators. Greg has had a long association with both Manly United and Manly Warringah Football Association, as a parent, coach and volunteer.
Ian Clarke
Ian has been a Director of MUFC since 2018. He has over 30 years of business experience across the public and private sectors as an advisor to Boards and CEOs, including Suncorp, NSW Government, Australian Sports Commission and Football Australia. This advice covers business strategy, due diligence, commercialisation, organisational design and governance, and investment in early-stage technology companies. Ian has been a member of the NSW Heritage Council, Founding Chair of The Stanford Australia Foundation, and has an MA in Engineering, MBA and GAICD. Ian has played football for over 50 years, is a Senior Referee, has coached junior teams and was previously the President of Mosman FC.
Deb Elliott
Deb Elliott joined the board in December 2023, bringing over 20 years of corporate experience in the financial industry. A leadership expert with a strong focus on diversity and inclusion, she has spent over a decade specialising in women’s leadership across both State and Local Government. She collaborates with Football NSW to design programs that support the women’s league and has a background in fundraising, partnerships, and event management. Since 2014, she has successfully run her own business, to drive meaningful change. A member of the MUFC community for seven years, she has contributed as both a parent and a volunteer on the fundraising committee.
Adam Peacock
Adam joined the board in November 2024. He has over 25 years experience in the media industry, as a host, commentator and reporter across TV, radio, podcasting and written journalism working at some of the biggest sporting events in the world.
Adam also played for over 30 years across multiple MWFA clubs, and more recently coached at Manly United, while also involved as a volunteer at the club.
Juliette Siemsen
Juliette joined the MUFC Board in December 2023. She brings over 30 years experience in the education sector. Juliette has been a former MUFC parent and manager with over 10 years of association and service with MUFC. Juliette’s daughter Remy was a MUFC alumni and is currently playing professionally overseas in Sweden and for the Matildas. Juliette brings her educational leadership skills to her role on the MUFC Board. She is a passionate advocate for the girls and women’s football programs!
Tamara Toon
Tamara joined the board in 2022 after volunteering with MUFC as a team manager and serving as convenor for MWFA’s AYL program.
With over 25 years of experience in corporate communications, media, marketing, and business strategy, Tamara has held senior management and leadership roles across ASX-listed and private companies. Including financial services, telecommunications, publishing, and news, both in Australia and internationally. She has also served on the board of the Australian Publishing Association and is an award-winning news journalist and commercial photographer.
David Wilson
David joined the MWFA board in 2020 and was elected Chair of the MWFA Board. David also coached with Warringah Dolphins and with the newly formed Manly United from the mid 1990’s to the mid 2000’s.
David is currently the appointed director representing MWFA on the Manly United Board.
Keith Pester
Keith Pester is well known in the Northern Beaches football community, having been recognised as a Life Member of MUFC, MWFA and Wakehurst Football Club, as well as the recipient of the Football NSW Charles Valentine Medal in 2014. Keith first became involved with Manly United in 1990 after he joined the MWFA in 1989 from Wakehurst Football Club, where he had been President for 9 years from 1980-1988. He has been a steadying influence throughout the various mergers and amalgamations over the years, culminating in setting the tone for the most united football ecosystem in Sydney. Keith held the joint positions on the MWFA Executive and the MU Board from 1998 through to 2020. Keith is also on the Board of the Manly Warringah District Soccer Football and the Manly Warringah Football Club.
