For Female Football Week, we spoke to Hailey Chappelow, who plays for our Women’s U23 team and coaches in our Girls JDL program.
“Shaz messaged me last year and asked I wanted to coach.
“I like watching all the little kids when they’re playing, making new friends, developing all their skills, and seeing how much they love playing the game.”
As a player, Hailey enjoys making new friendships within her team. She also looks back fondly on last year, when she played for Manly’s GYL U18 team.
“We were undefeated for the first half of the season. We finished fourth, so we were the last team to make the finals. As a team, we pulled together to come back from losing games, and we won the Grand Final!”
