A common theme through our Female Football Week posts has been the influence of our Girls & Women’s Technical Director, Shaz Egger, on players who have decided to take up coaching. We spoke to Shaz about her reasons for getting players to join the club’s coaching staff.
“Players who have been through our system and have been coached by us make the best teachers. Our players are great at demonstrating to the younger ones.
“Becoming a coach also helps them when they’re playing in their own games, because the act of coaching a team helps to reinforce the principles that we teach players from an early age.”
