Senior Women Celebrated as Season End Draws Closer

MUFC 2026 Senior Women Presentation Night landscape 2

Manly United’s Senior Women came together last Friday to celebrate the 2026 season, recognising some of the standout performers and achievements from another big year.

Sarah Whelan was named Player of the Year, and took home the prestigious Leanne Taylor Award in the process. First Grader Grace Arnold and U23 player Jasmine Robinson each took home the Players’ Player award, with Phoebe Gilbane and Chelsea McCredie handed the Coaches Award in their respective squads.

The night also marked a special Manly United milestone for Halle Smit and Sofija Lacik, who were each recognised for reaching an incredible 10 years playing with the club.

Two big games to finish the season

While the awards provided an opportunity to celebrate the season so far, there is still plenty to play for as the Senior Women’s squads looking to finish their 2026 campaign strongly.

With two games remaining, Manly United First Grade remains in the hunt for another top-five finish, while the U23s can place sixth if the final games go their way.

First up is NWS Spirit this Saturday at 3pm at Valentine Sports Park, before the final fixture against Sydney Uni SFC at their place Sunday August 30 (kick-off 5pm).

Congratulations to all our award winners and milestone players – and best of luck to the squad for their two big games to come!
